5 Day Argolis Olympia Delphi Meteora

Day 1: Depart from Athens for a short stop to Corinth Canal and then on to visit Ancient Corinth. Proceed to Mycenae and the tomb of Agamnenon . After lunch proceed to Epidaurus theatre. From there we will go to Nafplion the first capital of Greece.

Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning visit of Palamidi Castle. You can then spend some time in Nafplion or visit Argos.Then depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnesus and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis.

Day 3: In the morning visit the archaeological site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. Then drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia and over the magnificent cable stayed bridge which crosses the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi.

Day 4: In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing rock formations of Meteora.

Day 5: Visit Meteora. Amidst striking scenery, perched on huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the monument of Leonidas).

Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
