HE WAS WONDERFUL!!! WE WILL DEFINATELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO ALL OUR FRIENDS WHO MAY BE GOING TO ATHENS.......WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL DAY PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THE SHIP!!! THANK YOU AGAIN MIKAS!! I would like to tell everyone considering using George's taxi in Greece, just do it. The best experience I have had bar none. Had a pick up scheduled at the airport, perfect; met by wonderful gentleman and whisk away in comfort of an air conditioned Mercedes, which was great as it was the hottest it had been in 50 years. Right to the Hilton with some good conversations and restaurant tips along the way.

Upon completion of my work about two weeks later I scheduled a day trip to Delphi. I was by myself but had no problem, the same gentleman, Mikus, picked me up at the hotel and we spent the day stopping a unique and historical sites, eating a great meal and an overall outstanding experience. On the drive back I watched videos of Greek historical battles and such and ended up at the airport Sofitel hotel where I stayed to catch an early flight back the following morning.

I have been all over the world and have never had better service, nicer folks or enjoyed a taxi service more. This is first class all the way. And the prices were reasonable.

I hope to return with my wife and travel with George's group again in the not too distant futures.

I just wanted to take a minute to say what a great job George and his guys did for me and my family during our July 2012 Greece Tour.  George's Taxi provided all the transfers from airport - hotel - ferry - hotel - airport.  On time, reasonable price and great service.  They also provided us a driver for a three day tour of mainland Greece and arranged hotels and restaurants.  They did a great job and were half the price of tour services we looked at.  Last but not least, I lost our passports on the day we were suppose to go home.  Our driver helped us look for them, took us to the police station were they were found and rushed us to the airport to meet our plane.  It would have cost me several thousand dollars without their help.  I greatfully and sincerely thank them for their help.

I first learned of George, the Famous Taxi Driver, on Matt Barrett's Athens site in 2001. Back then, George introduced us to the sites of Athens and Argolis; and we have returned at least seven times since then. Each time I visit, I bring a new group of family or friends; and each time someone from George's staff meets us at the airport and treats us as special old friends. My guests are always impressed and grateful that they had the privlege of private tours in extremely comfortable vehicles and the freedom of stops along the way. George, Vasilli, Paul, Demetrius and of course Billy have served us with friendliness and courtesy that we have not found in many places. Arriving in Athens and seeing one of these fine men waiting for us is very welcoming and it begins our trip on a very positive note. I fully recommend George and Billy's services.

We just returned from a quick trip to Athens over the holidays and had a great time.  We are convinced the main reason for the success of our trip was due to our driver and new friend Makis Xilagouras!!

When we arrived at the airport the airline lost one of our bags and Makis waited patiently as we sorted it out.  He then escorted us to our hotel in one of the nicest taxis we have been in.

After riding to the hotel we knew we need to have Makis as our driver/guide for an Athens tour.  He did not disappoint!!  He was on time, courteous, well dressed and a joy to be around.  I am sure he has driven the Athens city tour a thousand times, but he was energetic and very informative.  My kids (14 and 11 years old) loved all the sites he took us to and he was very patient with the timeline (it is not everyday folks like us get to see 2,500 year old temples).  He also took us to a great local taverna for lunch.

Makis was not just doing his job, he was adding a personal flavor to the trip which we will always be grateful for. Also, his English was perfect (I know operating in a second language for a full day can be a challenge).   I have traveled the world and I can not say enough about our airport transfers and tours with Makis.  We can not wait to come back to Athens to take more tours/trips around Greece with Makis.

I so enjoyed my day with Makis Xilagouras.  He is very enthusiastic and knowledgable about Greece.  He has quite the passion for Greece, and loves sharing the culture of Greece.  He is the perfect person for driving tourists (from far off lands) around the Pelopponese and explaining Greek culture, and wanting us to experience the culture of your great country as well.  I just can't say enough nice things about Makis.  Thank you, Makis, for my day (June 14th, 2011) of Greek adventure! 

We had the pleasure of using George's Taxi when we visited Athens in early September, Theodore picked us up at the airport, was on time, friendly and a great guy to chat with on our way to the flat we had rented.  After our stay in Athens we needed a ride to Sounio which we had arranged for, again Theodore was on time to pick us up and a pleasure to have as our driver.  I thank Nickolas (he answered the phone every time I called making sure we had a ride to Sounio)  for his patience!  A side note, I stand with the taxi drivers in Greece!

Dear George,     I just want to say that Tony was a fantastic tour guide full of information and enthusiasm.  He picked us up promptly at the airport and headed right for Lycavettus Hill where we started our lovely and informative tour.  He gave us pleny of time to see each site and we didn't feel rushed in any way.

We were so impressed how friendly and helpful the Greek people are and loved to see the happy and content dogs waiting for their masters while the worked in the shops.

It was a trip of a lifetime for us and starting out in Athens was the best.

I was fortunate enough to have George as my guide. We had an entire day with him and although there were some hiccups (all us/none George) he rode things out with calm and patience. I wouldn't hesitate to book George or any of his associates again. We also took a full day down to Delphi with a stop and a lovely monastary that was a model for the Hagia Sophia - wonderful experience!

I had 5 hours to kill in Athens airport on August 14th (coming from Creta, going to Geneva), and went with my family to Acropolis + its museum instead of staying at the airport. Spiros, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the city and Greece's history. We really had a great time while learning a lot. You manage a very serious company and have great taxi drivers.

I want to thank you for making my trip to Athens for Special Olympics World Games memorable.  You were very kind in answering all of my questions before I booked with you and the driver was there at the airport when I arrived even though my flight was late.  He took me where I needed to go and was a pleasure to talk with on the drive into Athens.

You really came through for me when I was leaving the night before when the Taxi's went on strike the next day.  Your wife was very charming and helpful.  Thank you for sending a private car the next day.  You not only helped me, but two other ladies who were stranded as well who had to get to the airport.  They rode with me.  The driver Kodos (I hope I got his name right) was a pleasure to talk with and gave me some history about Athens on the drive to the Airport.

If I ever get back to Athens in the future I will be calling on you again.

Thank you for your help in getting us organized in Athens. As promised, our driver met us at the airport when we landed and was there, on time, to take us to the port the next day for our cruise. In addition, I cannot express how much we enjoyed our tour of Athens on June 27, 2011. Nina was such a great guide. She was so knowledgeable, kind, fun, and sweet. Just a note to say thank you arranging the tour for us in Athens on June 3/11 on behalf of our group of 11.  Domenic (Jim) and Myrto were there to meet us from our cruise ship, Celebrity Solstice, and took care of us throughout the day.  Jim was amazing in managing to drive thru the busy streets in Athens.  I don't know how he did it so calmly and always with a smile.  He even had cold water waiting for us in the comfortable van.

Myrto’s knowledge of Athens is impressive too; I couldn’t begin to remember half of the information she told us as she guided us through the crowds expertly and safely. She was able to be flexible in choosing where, when and what we would see to take advantage the whole day. The recommendation for Ghiros in Plakta was fabulous too!

I’d love to come back for a longer visit and certainly would be happy to use your service again!
